The price of cumin may increase, the arrival of new crop has started here

Cumin Price 2025: Cumin is sown on a large scale in Jamnagar district, which is considered the stronghold of cumin. This year cumin has been sown in about 6600 hectares. 

Now new cumin is coming for sale in Hapa Marketing Yard of Jamnagar. From today, cumin was auctioned in Hapa Marketing Yard of Jamnagar on the arrival of new cumin. Farmers got a price of Rs 5525 per quintal of new cumin.

The arrival of new cumin seeds has started today in Jamnagar yard, which is famous for its good price. With the arrival of new cumin seeds in Jamnagar's Hapa yard, the auction was done after performing a formal puja and breaking a coconut. 

Today, for the first time, farmer Palabhai Gojia of JPdevaliya village brought the first crop of the season. He reached the yard with two bags of cumin seeds that he had prepared.

These traders made purchases

During this time, the arrival of new cumin also brought happiness among the traders. After the formal auction, the farmers got a price of Rs 5525 per quintal for new cumin. 

Companies named "Akhand Enterprise" and "Shakti Enterprise" bought cumin. It is important to note that last year the price of cumin had reached a maximum of Rs 4000 only. 

This time, the farmers were happy as they got slightly better prices at the beginning of the season. After celery and mustard, now the new season's cumin has also reached the yard.

Farmers hope to get good prices

Farmers are expecting to get the price of cumin between Rs 5000 and Rs 7000 in the upcoming season. On the other hand, experts say that the price of cumin may increase due to less sowing of cumin in Jamnagar district this year. It is very expensive to take care of cumin including pesticides, so farmers are expecting to get adequate prices.
